Deputy/Operations Manager

  • Primary Responsibilities:

    We are looking for an experienced manager who will be able to lead the team, implement and improve standards in all areas, control costs, step in and assume the general manager's responsibilities in their absence, to support and motivate heads of departments to deliver and exceed customer expectations, ensuring the high standards are consistently maintained throughout by leading meetings and implementing initiatives handed down by the general manager. Analyse and implement policies and procedures, oversee short- and long-term business plans and initiatives and help in budgeting activities.

  • The ideal candidate will have:

    As Operations Manager / Deputy General Manager you will:

    • Have a strong background in a similar standard of hotels
    • Have experience in an events role
    • Hands on
    • Report to the General Manager and be responsible for all operational Heads of Department
    • Be uncompromising where standards are concerned and have a proven track record of success in an Operational Management role within a quality driven hotel or similar environment
    • Ensure the highest standards are maintained throughout the hotel and that guest’s expectations are exceeded with a focus on attention to detail
    • Be responsible for the day to day management of the operation ensuring that all departments are achieving the standards required by the Company and are operating effectively and efficiently
    • Ensure the highest level of customer service is provided at all times by offering a friendly, efficient, informal yet highly professional service
    • Most importantly we are looking for someone who is an enthusiastic individual who aspires to be the best and can offer a warm and friendly welcome to all customers to make their visit to this establishment the best it can be

Hotel Night Porter/ Duty Manager

  • Primary Responsibilities:

    We are recruiting for a Night Porter, taking responsibility for ensuring the delivery of high standards of service within this busy 50 bedroomed, 4 star city centre hotel. As Night Porter, you will be responsible for looking after the guests and the hotel throughout the night.

    Main Duties: The Night Porter role involves a range of duties, including: receptionist, bar service, porterage services to customers on arrival and departure, to act as a Fire Office, ensure security of the site, room service, cash handling, cleaning, setting up of rooms and ensuring our Company values and standards are consistently delivered during night time hours. To be successful the candidate for Night Porter will be well organised and detail orientated, as well as having a flexible approach and being able to adapt quickly to change. You should have proven customer service skills and the ability to anticipate guest needs, be punctual, reliable and professional with the ability to remain calm at all times.

  • The ideal candidate will have:
    • You will need to have a sound knowledge of Front Office procedures ideally with experience of Rezlynx and perform check in and check out processes. This position would suit someone with previous hotel night experience, who is self-motivated with a passion for service excellence. Ideally we are looking for someone to work 5 night shifts per week, being fully flexible to work a rota of 5 nights out of 7 including weekends.

Food and Beverage Assistant - full or part time

  • Primary Responsibilities:

    · Delivering 4star service to our guests

    · Working in all areas of our Food and Beverage Department, including the AA Rosette restaurant, the Bar and our Conference and Banqueting facilities.

    · Ensuring the hotel is presented to our 4 star standards at all times.

  • The ideal candidate will have:

    · The ability to engage with guests and staff

    · Previous experience in a similar role in a restaurant or a high end 3 or 4-star hotel

    · The ability to deliver a high level of guest care consistently

    · Fluent English skills

    · Attention to detail, ensuring they are well presented

    · Experience using tills and handling money

    · Flexibility in the hours of work and jobs undertaken

    We are offering a full-time position on 35 hours per week with more hours often available. This role will work on a rota system of 5 days out of 7 and will include evenings and weekends. We will consider part-time applicants for this role - please state as part of your application that you are looking for part-time, and any restrictions you may have on the hours you are available to work.
