Job Title: Night Duty Supervisor

Role: Supervisor
Reporting To: Night Manager

Hours: Part Time or Full Time contract available
Salary: Up to £10.80 per hour, based on previous experience (live in is available for this position)

The County Hotel, Chelmsford is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and multi-skilled Night Duty Supervisor to work as part of our expanding front of house team either part time or full time.

There is the possibility of live-in accommodation at a decent rate (including utilities and food), if required for a suitable candidate.

The Company

The hotel is a 4 star city-centre 58 bedroom hotel, featuring the award-winning 1 AA Rosette Samphire Restaurant with busy conference and banqueting facilities in the heart of Chelmsford.

The Role

The role of Night Duty Supervisor will involve the following:

Having natural hospitality charm and a real passion for service. You will strive to make our guests stay the best they can be whilst dealing with a wide range of queries.

Checking guests in and out ensuring their needs are met.

Preparing bills and processing payments according to our procedures.

Answering telephone calls, dealing with customer queries.

Serving our bar guests evening beverages and snacks.

Assist with morning breakfast set up in the restaurant.

Set up function rooms and complete back of house duties, such as polishing of glasses and cutlery.

Complete nightly housekeeping duties.

Liaising with other departments to ensure guests needs are met.

Being organised, multi-tasking and able to work well under pressure.

Able to work independently with a limited small team alongside you.

The ability to communicate effectively with all members of staff and management and paying close attention to detail is imperative.

The shifts for the role will include 22:30-07:00 or 22:30-08:00.

Experience

A minimum of 1 years customer service experience and ideally 1 years hospitality experience preferred as a receptionist or bartender.

Ideally, have experience of working as a hotel Night Porter previously would be an advantage.

An employment reference will be sought from your current or last employer and a DBS check will be required.

Due to licensing, you must be over the age of 18 years old.

This would be the ideal role for an already established Night Porter looking for their next step up, preferably within a hotel setting.

The County Hotel, Chelmsford is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and passionate individual as Bartender on a casual part time basis.

The Company

The hotel is a 4 star city centre 58 bedroom hotel, featuring the award-winning 1 AA Rosette Samphire Restaurant with busy conference and banqueting facilities in the heart of Chelmsford.

The Role

Provide guests with all service and assistance connected with their food and beverage bar experience at the hotel.

Delivering four star service to our guests within the bar, restaurant, conference & banqueting bar, as well as for alfresco outdoor dining and room service.

Offering good levels of rapport in our bar for brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and evening beverage service.

Having natural hospitality charm and a real passion for service.

The ability to communicate effectively with all members of staff and management and paying close attention to detail is imperative.

The shifts for the role of Bartender is mainly based in the afternoon / evening and will generally include 18:00-23:00, 15:00-23:00 or 17:30-01:00, however alternative shifts may also be required for business needs.

Experience

A minimum of 1 years customer service experience and ideally 1 years bar experience preferred, however full training will be provided, so we do welcome applicants who would be new to the industry.

The successful candidate must be 18 years of age or older as they will be serving on the bar independently at times.

The County Hotel, Chelmsford is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and passionate individual as Breakfast Assistant to work morning shifts on a casual part time basis.

The Company

The hotel is a 4 star city centre 58 bedroom hotel, featuring the award-winning 1 AA Rosette Samphire Restaurant with busy conference and banqueting facilities in the heart of Chelmsford.

The Role

Provide guests with all service and assistance connected with their food and beverage experience at the hotel.
