The Guild was formed in 1984, with the main aim of promoting, encouraging and supporting its members in the furtherance of their craftwork and skills. In doing this, they aim to stimulate a
wider and more informed appreciation of genuine handmade crafts in Essex.
This class is suitable for complete beginners and experienced stitchers alike! Why not join in this lovely workshop and make some beautiful Christmas bunting to complement your decorations at home. Just bring along some Christmas fabric in up to three different designs and we will provide the know-how and the rest of what you need. You will take away a template so that you will be able to make lots more at home.

Try a one-day course on learning how to make fabulous cushions. They look very expensive and hard to make but nothing is further from the truth. With the help of our friendly tutor, Sue Layton, you will learn how to mark up your fabric using a cushion pattern, how to sew Canadian Smocking and then how to use the same pattern to make other fabulous cushions.
You will also complete a small smocked pincushion so you will always have a reminder of your day.
