Tutor Helen Rose will teach you the basics of lino printing as you create your very own design and create a series of art prints during this workshop. You’ll print in multiple layers of colour, all without a printing press, meaning you can continue printing at home. Using soft cut lino, cutting tools and water-based inks you’ll have a fun, inky, print-packed day.

This exciting course is run by Claudia Waller, a partner of Hawthorn Heavy Horses based at Hylands. She specialises in the use of working horses for forestry and conservation work. Claudia has a BSc in Equine Studies and 12 years’ experience of working heavy horses.

Come and experience the magic and tranquillity of a woodland setting with one of our rare breed horses. The day will include a logging demonstration in the woods then having a go at it yourselves. The Tuesday Toddle sessions are run approximately every month throughout the year, with a break during the school summer holiday period. The Toddles are an opportunity for parents with pre-school children to enjoy a guided walk in the park and garden areas surrounding Hylands House along with other parents with children of a similar age. The routes chosen for the walk on the whole take into account those with pushchairs although a short detour maybe necessary from time to time to avoid steps etc. Maximum of three children per adult.

Island Inflatables bring this fabulously bouncy park to the back lawn of Hylands House. There will be a huge selection of inflatables for the kids to play on, why not bring a picnic and relax whilst they burn off all that energy.
